The Markey #1 winch is used as the primary CTD winch.

The power/data connections can easily be removed from the CTD Rosette to be used for other applications. The .322 wire has three conductors and the slip ring junction box is easily accessible in the Main Lab and ET Lab. The wire leads off to starboard through a General Oceanics block hanging from the Gallows frame.
