The Trawl winch is located on the forward end of the 01 deck, just aft of the bridge. The wire is 1/2 inch, 3x19 construction.

This winch is used in the deployment and recovery of moorings, nets, and coring gear.

• Mean pull 6,000 lbs
• Full drum pull 4,000 lbs

Total 1/2 inch 3x19 wire capacity = 9000m
